Alex Knox, MD, Plastic Surgery Resident at UCSF School of Medicine

As part of everyday direct patient care, Dr. Rebecca Small performs aesthetic procedures for patients in her clinical practice—ensuring that her teaching is always grounded in the realities of patient outcomes, safety, and aesthetic excellence. Her approach blends 20 years of clinical experience with academic rigor shaped by years of hands-on training and curriculum development for UCSF plastic surgery and family medicine residents, and nurse practitioner trainees, from beginners to advanced students. With this dual lens—active practitioner and dedicated educator—she brings a uniquely insightful, evidence-based perspective to every learning experience.

These small group trainings are designed specifically for practices looking to align their team’s clinical approach, deepen procedural understanding, and elevate technique with hands-on instruction. You’ll work through real patient cases and treatment protocols, receive direct feedback in real time, and gain clarity on the why behind each technique—not just the how. Whether you’re a newly formed team or an experienced group looking to refine your workflows and skill sets, this collaborative format encourages learning across roles and ensures everyone walks away with improved confidence, clinical insight, and actionable takeaways to implement immediately in practice. All sessions are grounded in the RSMD Methodology and include open Q&A, personalized coaching, and post-training access to exclusive RSMD support.
